Consultant Cfo

The Keller Group is supporting our client, a well-established construction company, in their search for a hands on Consultant CFO to provide financial leadership during a transitional period. This consultant will partner closely with executive leadership to oversee financial operations, improve reporting and forecasting processes and manage cash flow.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to executive management
• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Analyze project profitability, work-in-progress (WIP) schedules and job costing metrics
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes
• Evaluate and strengthen financial controls, processes, and reporting capabilities
• Support banking relationships, lending compliance, and financial covenant reporting
• Lead cash flow forecasting and working capital management initiatives
• Partner with operations and project management teams to improve financial performance
• Assist with board, ownership, or investor reporting as needed
• Mentor and support the accounting and finance team during the engagement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred
• Prior CFO, VP of Finance or Controller experience within the construction industry preferred
• Strong understanding of job costing, percentage-of-completion accounting, WIP reporting and construction financial metrics
• Experience with cash flow management, forecasting, and strategic planning
• Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across all levels of an organization
• Availability to begin ASAP on a contract basis
